Due to unforeseen circumstances, two of our spring musk ox hunters had to cancel. This has created two incredible opportunities for anyone looking for a giant musk ox bull in Nunavut this spring! Here are the details:
You arrive in Winnipeg, Manitoba on April 23 and spend the night. Early the next morning, you’ll fly from Winnipeg to Baker Lake, Nunavut. Once in Baker Lake, you’ll grab lunch and settle in before jumping on your own snow machine to get comfortable driving it. This is also when we take the guns out to confirm their accuracy. Due to Nunavut law, we will not be hunting this day.
After a good sleep in your private hotel room, we will wake up April 25 to a hot breakfast in the hotel. Once breakfast is complete, you and your guide will head out on to the land in search of Musk Ox. It will probably take between 30 to 45 minutes of riding to reach the areas where the Musk Ox are located. At this point, you will drive to higher ground to glass for groups of bulls.
Once a group of bulls is located, the hunt is on!
At the end of the day, you’ll return to the warmth of your hotel and a hot meal. Relax watching satellite TV, or touch base with home via cell service and Wi-Fi. You’ll follow this pattern for five days, or until your Musk Ox is down.
Previous years have seen us attain a 100% success with an amazing 70% of our bulls scoring high enough to make the Boone & Crockett Record Book. On April 30, you’ll be brought back to Winnipeg. If you take your Musk Ox early, we will even pay the Baker Lake-Winnipeg change fee should you decide to leave Baker Lake early.
Included in this hunt:
