| Yes,
you’re here for the fishing. Way up here in nature’s
playground. 120 miles from “civilization”,
there is a lot more than fishing to enjoy.
Experience the soothing rhythm of paddling a canoe on
the lake at dawn, or choose sunset; either way compose
your own fresco - the sights and sounds of the north
country.
Feel the sun on your skin and breathe the air as you
hike the sand-crowned eskers of our nature trail or
take a quiet stroll to watch for our resident wolf pack,
moose, eagles and black bears.
If its been a cool day of fishing, relax and rejuvenate
in our wood-fired cedar hot tub before appetizers and
cocktails. Or, wait until after dinner when you can
stargaze from the hot tub and hear the wolves howl.
A hot day of fishing? Take a dip in the lake, our beach
is a stones throw from the lodge and the water is sure
to cool you off.
Biceps
had all the fishing they can take? Explore the abandoned
village or the trapper’s camp up the lake. Immerse
yourself in the culture and history of the people who
settled this vast territory.
Take a whale watching expedition to Churchill, explore
the frontier town and take a boat tour to see, hear,
even touch, Beluga whales.
Or, just relax, listen closely to the wind rippling
through trees, waves lapping the beach, loons calling
– tranquility.
