Greetings from Webber’s Lodges!

Elizabeth Reimer is all smiles with her first moose from Webber’s Lodges. Congratulations!
Our 2012 year started off fairly low-key with our spring goose hunting season at Dymond Lake Lodge, which mainly consisted of a family goose hunt joined by a handful of friends from across the border.
At North Knife Lake Lodge the fishing season was a bit shorter than in previous years but no less sweet—within the first few weeks our guests had racked up more than 60 Master Angler awards!
Despite facing a number of challenges this season, among them poor weather and unusually uncooperative caribou, we managed (as always!) to make good on our promise of 100% opportunity at our caribou camps thanks to our exceptional guides. Among the caribou harvested during our six weeks of sold out caribou hunts were a number of trophy-class animals.
Goose hunting at Nanuk Lodge was exceptional as well. One of our longstanding guests, John Lillibridge, reported seeing more birds this year than on any of his other hunts. John’s been hunting at Nanuk for 15 years so his comments are not to be taken lightly!
Besides the great goose hunting at Nanuk, one of our wonderful lodge staffers, Elizabeth Reimer, shot a beautiful moose this year. One of our staff, Albert Saunders spent many a morning calling in a bull and the sounds and signs of moose were frequent.
On the last possible morning for a successful moose hunt, a cow and a bull walked right past camp down the runway before the crew could even warm up the kitchen. Albert and Elizabeth had to give this incredible animal time to get far enough away for the shot. After Elizabeth squeezed off the fatal shot the camp was abuzz with a few high fives and many congratulations for the young girl and her first of hopefully many moose.
On a side note we would like to thank our head chef, Riley, for providing Elizabeth with a rifle for this hunt — don’t worry Riley, there will be a moose in the sights for you soon enough.
All in all, it was another fun and successful season for us. Thank you to all who shared their time with us, and to those of you have never joined us, we hope to one day show you what a trip with Webber’s Lodges is all about!
